A Smile Makeover with Custom Veneers

At Susan Ellison Dentistry & Cosmetics, we are thrilled to give patients a beautiful, healthy smile. Transforming smiles is the highlight of our days! We have helped many patients change their smiles and boost their confidence with restorative dentistry, and one of the best ways to do this is with composite bonding or veneers. Also called ‘instant orthodontics’, this option gives teeth a brilliant, natural appearance.

A set of veneers can correct chips, stains, and even deeply discolored teeth. But they can also alter the length and size of teeth or help give the appearance of a straight tooth where there is not. While it may sound dramatic, it isn’t. Veneers provide a highly conservative approach to esthetic smile makeovers.

Veneers are one of dentistry’s ultimate combinations of dental art and science, handcrafted and customized to fit your smile. These paper-thin pieces of porcelain bond to the outside of your natural teeth. But just because they’re thin, don’t be fooled. Veneers are highly versatile and can replicate all the complex nuances of a natural tooth.

Good Planning Paves the Way

There’s a lot of diagnostic work and careful planning that goes into a treatment plan that includes veneers. Models, photographs, and digital x-rays allow you and Dr. Ellison to create a perfect blueprint to guide your treatment from start to finish.

Like all successful projects, this planning can’t be compromised. Dr. Ellison will consider your input and incorporate your desires into your veneer case, from color to shape and everything in between. You can also see more of our Cosmetic Dentistry treatments.

Veneers FAQs

There is absolutely no pain involved in doing veneers, which is an additional benefit of having veneers done to give you the beautiful smile you always wanted.

We offer FREE CONSULTATIONS virtually or in person to determine if you are a candidate for veneers and if this is the best solution for you.

When veneers are first placed, we recommend 48 hours before biting into anything such as pizza, hamburgers, and sandwiches to give the bonding material time to fully set. After that, you can use your judgment as to what you feel comfortable biting into. The veneers will become as natural as your own teeth. We have a patient who Dr. Ellison did veneers on in 1993 and still comes in for regular cleanings and they look just like new!

If your veneer falls off, keep the veneer and call us right away for an appointment to see if we can put it back on. Some patients will put the veneer back on the tooth to smile with if it is not broken and still has a good fit but you have to be careful not to swallow it.
